This elementary music camp for rising 1st-2nd grade is an extension of the music instruction provided to students during the regular school year and is only available to students of Wakefield residents. For children of all musical abilities, students will engage in “Tuneful, Beatful, and Artful” activities, learning a wide variety of songs, games, and movement activities. A final “showcase” performance will be given on the last day of camp. Please note that repertoire and activity selection changes from year to year, so no two years are the same! Please email Mr. Zini with any questions!

This elementary music camp for rising 3rd-5th graders is a fun, fast-paced environment where students will learn to make music together and have tons of fun doing it! For children of every musical ability, this camp is an extension of the music instruction provided to students during the regular school year. Programmed musical activities will include a variety of movement, singing, and instrument playing. A final “showcase” performance will be given on the last day of camp. WPS Orchestra Director
The Summer Orchestra is an opportunity for students who have completed 5th-8th grade to play together over the summer. Students will perform popular styles of music not commonly seen in their ensembles during the school year, including movie music, pop, rock and/or jazz. With the assistance of a select group of high school music mentors, students will work to prepare a performance both as a full ensemble and in smaller instrument-specific sectionals. Participating students receive a camp tee shirt. The week concludes with a performance for family and friends. .
PREREQUISITES:
​At least one year of instruction on their current instrument (unless approved by director​)

This camp allows students to play in a fun, supportive, mixed level environment for one week during the summer. It will provide students with the opportunity to keep up their "chops" and use the skills they have gained throughout the year. Students will perform popular styles of music not commonly seen in their ensembles during the school year, including movie music, pop, rock and/or jazz. With the assistance of a select group of high school music mentors, students will work to prepare a performance both as a full ensemble and in smaller instrument-specific sectionals.

This is a one week program providing an opportunity to further instrumental music skills while studying the jazz genre. Jazz workshop is a great way for first time students to explore jazz, and for veteran jazz band members to expand improvisation and ensemble playing skills. With the assistance of both professional staff and a select group of high school music mentors, students will learn in both the full ensemble and smaller instrument-specific sectionals. 
PREREQUISITES: At least one year of instruction on their current instrument (unless approved by director)

The A Cappella Workshop will give students the opportunity to work on solo singing, vocal percussion, choreography, mic technique, and improvisation, while being assisted by both professional staff and a select group of high school music mentors.

This 2 week musical theater camp is for students in grades 2-5 who enjoy performing and want to be challenged to expand their skills within a supportive environment. This program is the perfect introduction for students who have always wanted to give theater a try, as well as those who have already gotten started and wish to advance their craft. We will work on movement for the stage, singing skills, and creating characters while working on a production of Olympus: The Greek Rock Musical. Each student will have a part in our production regardless of experience. Our camp will culminate with a performance of a fully staged version of the musical for family and friends. 
​PREREQUISITES: None
This 3 week musical theater intensive program is for students in grades 6-12 who are passionate about musical theater and want to be challenged to expand their skills within a supportive environment. We will work on movement for the stage, singing skills, and creating characters while producing High School Musical (One Act Version). Each student will have a part in our production regardless of experience. Our camp will culminate with a performance of a fully staged version of the musical for family and friends.
